This summer, be on the lookout for 2 different types of invasive grasses. Zoysia and Bermuda grass love asphalt. These grasses shoot out runners that can penetrate asphalt pavement. If you see little buds of grass coming up through the edge of your driveway, road, or parking lot, its important to kill it off quickly. If left untreated the grass will continue to migrate deep into the pavement. Both types of grasses can be killed with a name brand herbicide. To prevent the grass from getting into the edge of the pavement, keep the grass edged 2 or more inches away from the pavement or treat with a herbicide.
